On May 26, the breakthrough of the 2nd TBM into the Sluseholmen station was celebrated. The Sydhavn extension of the M4 line of the Copenhagen Metro branches off the new ring line (Cityringen) to the south and includes 5 stations. The completion of the line is planned for 2024. After a few weeks break for maintenance purposes, the machine will continue digging to the next station Mozartplatz.
Geodata and its JV company SMT are responsible for monitoring this project. All data will be managed and visualized with our tunnel information system KRONOS. Currently, up to 20 automatic 3D measuring stations, 56 inclinometer measuring chains, 500 strain gauges, 80 load plates and 40 groundwater measuring points are installed.
