The EUREKA GIS (Global Innovation Summit) took place in Portugal at the end of June. The GIS is an international forum for the exchange and networking of companies, innovators and researchers. Geodata, with its project partners Geodata Andina Chile and 3GSM, was one of three nominees in the final in the category Earth Observation & Monitoring.
The nominated project Defdrone-3D was developed with out partner 3GSM from Austria & Geodata Andina from Chile aa low cost 3D deformation monitoring system allowing the design and execution of an automatic UAV flight mission followed by an automatic processing of 3D deformations from the measured data. The monitoring objects adressed are landslides, rock walls, rock slopes and dams which are deforming due to manifold reasons incl. climate change.
