Project description
The aim of the DefDrone research project is to detect deformations in large objects such as buildings, dams and slopes using drones. For this purpose, the objects are flown over automatically with one or more drones using a flight plan adapted to the object. A high-resolution, geo-referenced 3D model is then calculated from the measurement data (digital images) in photogrammetric evaluation software and compared with the results of previous flights. The participating partners jointly developed and tested the measurement system from the drone to the evaluation software.
The project was funded within the framework of the Eureka funding programme.
