The geophysical measurements for the preliminary geological exploration included a combination of borehole measurements (up-hole and VSP) with surface measurements (2D multi-electrode geoelectrics and seismics (PreStack-Time Migration, 3D Tomographie)). The project was mainly challenging due to the prevailing weather conditions and the difficult to access alpine terrain and the associated logistical effort of the measurements. The main objective was to explore or determine the contact between the two predominant lithological units, Sesto Conglomerate and Quartz Phyllite.
